Christmas 2009

Christmas just flew by for us, even with the big snow storm that was predicted. Anyone who knows my mom well, knows that if there is even so much as a flake in the air, she is not going anywhere! So, when she heard the weather man say "treacherous weather coming" she called to say they weren't coming for Christmas....What?!?! I started with the guilt trip--"You are going to miss the boys' 1st Christmas?!?!" That's all I had to say. Mom made it up here on Tuesday night as the storm was supposed to start in on Wed. Dad decided to stay home and keep the driveway clear. We just hung out and watched the snow/rain all day Wednesday. On Thursday, the original plan was for David's parents and Aunt Alice to come to our house for Christmas Eve, then we would all go to his parent's house on Christmas Day. Alice never made it because of the weather so we decided to pack up and head to Britt on Thursday and stay there until the storm passed. I don't know about Judy, but it was relaxing for me with both grandmas there! We headed back home on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, we got up and got ready to head to Ankeny for the Fox Christmas at Sonja and Chez's. It was good to see everyone and just sit and talk. Once again, it was easy for me with so many people to hold and feed the babies! We headed home Sunday evening and the roads were not very good, once again. It could be a long winter!

Brotherly love....

The boys were entertaining each other this afternoon so I thought I would share a little video. I didn't get the best part, I'm not quick enough. They love to look out the big window in our living room. Hopefully they always have this much fun together!

We are now officially "Bloggers"!

I have been asked several times in the past to start a blog about our family (well, maybe just about the boys) and have never done it. I have been terrible about keeping the Caring Bridge website updated and have every intention of keeping this one current! I have a couple of friends that have created blogs and I have to admit that I am addicted to looking at them! So, this is my attempt to keep everyone updated....

It's the most wonderful time of the year...
Well, Christmas is upon us now and I couldn't be more excited! Although I have no gifts wrapped, and I haven't even completed all of the Christmas shopping yet, I am still excited. This will be Carson and Cameron's first Christmas! This also means that we are less than 2 months away from their 1st birthday! I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. I was able to quit my job and stay home with them, which I am very thankful for. (Thanks, Dave!) The boys are very busy exploring and getting into everything, which is why the Christmas tree is behind the couch this year! These are a few pictures from the past year starting when they were about 4 months old. I don't have any before that on this computer, I still need to get those off of our old computer--yet another thing I need to get done! I will post more after Christmas, I promise!!
